Skate Shop Day 2023

Skate Shop Day is the day that the skateboard community celebrates skateboarding's hubs, the foundations of every skate scene, the places that bring skaters together and the business's that loyally act as the glue for skateboarding as a culture.

Skate Shop Day is meant to get skaters into the shops to show love to the shops that support skateboarding days of the year.
We hope you'll come out and celebrate with us on Saturday, February 18th.
So what is Homebase doing for Skate Shop Day?
We are opening up at 11am on Saturday with free coffee & donuts for everyone.  If you’re lucky, you can be one of the few to pick up a limited edition HB Coffee Mug designed by our friend Kees.  More about that below…
HB DVD/Photobook Release
Last year, we premiered our 10th shop video "HB" by Matt Pepe at Jordan Park for our locals and on Thrasher Magazine/s website.
This Saturday, for Skate Shop Day we are super excited to giveaway the "HB" DVD plus an exclusive 50 page photobook.  Yup, we are giving it away as a FREE gift with purchases over $100 as a "Thank You" to our customers who come out to support their local skateshop.

*Free gifts with purchase offer is only good while supplies last on a first come, first serve basis. Purchases may not include sale or clearance items.  All sales are final.

"Our People" Collection by Kees Holterman

Kees Is a multi-disciplinary artist and skater who lived in the Lehigh Valley for a few years and currently resides in Philadelphia. While living in the LV, he organically found the shop through skateboarding and we have always loved his style of artwork.  You can check him out here. This design was shelved due to the world shutting down and material shortages so we are excited to FINALLY be releasing it this Saturday for Skate Shop Day.
The "Our People" Collection will feature the apparel shown below plus (not shown) skateboard decks, a coffee mug & limited edition archival prints.

"Support Your Local" Design by Mike Lottie
Every year a different artist is chosen to design a custom graphic for Skate Shop Days.  This years chosen artist was Mike Gigliotti. Mike directly inspired the program when he began designing custom t-shirt graphics for skateshops during the pandemic. So this is a full circle moment.
You may recognize his work because aside from being a former shop owner, Mike has done designs for some of the biggest brands in skateboarding like Anti-Hero, Baker, Spitfire, Vans and now Skate Shop Day. We are super proud to carry Mike's graphic this year.
Anything not sold after the Skate Shop Day Weekend will be for sale online.

Deluxe Blind Bag and GONZ Beamer Board raffle
This year for Skate Shop Day, Deluxe enlisted the Gonz to design a  custom "Evil Beamer" board, limited to 2 per shop. They were also kind enough to send us two blind bag boards. Both of which are releasing exclusively in participating shops on Skate Shop Day.
Here at HB, we will be raffling off the opportunity to purchase these one of a kind boards. From 11-6pm customers can come in and get their complimentary raffle ticket at time of purchase.
*Customers are entitled to one free raffle ticket

THPS HiScore Contest sponsored by Nike SB
In-store from 11am to 6pm we will be hosting a Tony Hawk's Pro Skater hiscore contest for all of our customers on Skate Shop Day.
Each customer will have their chance to play 1 freeskate round to rack up the highest score possible before time runs out.   At 6pm, the person with the highest score will win a special prize from Nike SB.

Image Supply Co. Video Premiere
To cap of the night, we are excited to host the premiere of the new self titled video by Jay and Jash from Image Supply Co. The video features parts from a lot of rippers coming up from our local scene, including the twins, Jeremy Lopez and our very own Aidan Wilson.
Close out Skate Shop Day with us by celebrating the video and celebrating those who continue to support the shop and the local skate scene.

Thank you to everyone who supports Homebase.
