while you were sleeping: “our lives through a skateshop’s eyes” opening night

On First Friday this month we debuted a collection of Homebase memorabilia I’ve collected for the past 9 years.

Photos, sitckers, flyers, drawings, t-shirts, newspaper articles and random mementos I’ve saved.

Kali slaved away for weeks helping me frame everything.  Thanks Kali, you’re the best.

We composed some of her artwork with photos making some of my favorite pieces for the show.

Hellobase: this July we’re collaborating with Hello Burrito to offer specials for supporting businesses on both sides of the bridge.

Hello Burrito catered the show with 2 huge trays of vegan and vegetarian burritos that we gave out.  We’re working out some details for a “Homebase Burrito” right now…

Hello Burrito will be hosting the party to close out our “Burritos, Boards & Bros” local skate video contest on August 19th.

Get your clip together, make it creative and make it fun because Stereo Skateboards is sponsoring the contest with a huge prize package.  Deadline to submit your clip and buy your benefit brick is AUGUST 15th.

Stopped by Loose Threads to see what they were up to.

Never hurts to hang out with pretty girls on a Friday night right?

I laid out all the photos I’ve had sitting in shoeboxes that no one has seen in years.

It was fun seeing everyone trip out on how different people looked 4,5,6 years ago.

I’m hyped I finally got around to framing all this stuff because now our new friends and the new generation of skaters in the 610 can see where we came from and what we’ve done all for the love of skateboarding.

Thanks to all the Homebase family, friends and supporters for all the memories and for all those to come.
