While You Were Sleeping: Autumn Alive
Categories: Events, I'm Local, Procrastinate, Skateboarding, While You Were Sleeping
For those of you unfortunate enough to miss out on it, the good people working on the Quakertown Mainstreet Skatepark project put on a really fun event on Saturday, October 20th right in downtown Quakertown.
The purpose of the event was to raise funds and awareness for the new a new park to replace the existing Quakertown park. These guys have been working extremely hard on their project, and always put on great family-friendly events.
But what’s a Skatepark fundraiser without skateboarding? The guys brought out the portable ramps and Ethan Weltch made good use of them. BS 50-50.
Aside from the fun little set-up to session right on Broad St., the main attraction of the day was the Game of SKATE tornament. Ty Schubert knows how to get it started right.
When all was said and done, it was Ty taking home the gold, with Zach coming in second and Josh in third. Congratulations guys, and thanks to DLXSF for the trophies.
Thanks to Dave Kratz and everyone else in Quakertown for putting on yet another great event. If you missed out on this one, I seriously recommend you stay up to date here so you know what’s coming up next.
