Weekend at Bucky’s

Hill here.
As some of you may know, I’ve been out of town for the past couple weeks. Some close friends of mine were getting hitched in Las Vegas, and long story short, I saw the opportunity for a road trip, and I took it.
Luckily for me, my girlfriend Nicole was as willing as I was to take on the roads of our great nation, and we saw a ton of incredible things, as well as making stops in some really great places to spend some time with some really awesome people. The following is a short recap of just one of those stops…
and it’s not Nebraska.
Bucky lives with his girlfriend in DeKalb, Illinois, just outside of Chicago. He is many things: philosopher, skateboarder, student, teacher, Noose frontman, and one of my closest friends.
That’s Bucky there on the right, playing with Noose at the React! Showcase at Gilman st. in 2011. I’m sure if you’re familiar with hardcore you’ve already heard of Noose, and if you aren’t, you should check them out.
I was glad to have the chance to stop by and spend some time with Bucky on this trip, and he was good enough to take me around to some of the local spots, parks, and eating establishments the greater Chicago area has to offer.
Here’s a little clip from the park we went to in Genoa, Illinois today. This is only a tiny taste of what the area has to offer. There’s a lot more to show, but we’ll have to get to that next time. I need to get to bed so I can check out some Chicago street spots in the morning before finally heading home. See you in a couple days 610.
