HUF is a skater, shop, clothing line and collabo monster.

One of my first skate videos as a kid was FTC skateshop’s “Penal Code 101-A.”  Keith Hufangel had the last part and even before I knew anything about skating or tricks I was hyped on his style of skating.  A lot of the footage was in SF and NYC so it gave it a real street and gritty feel.  He skated super fast and did tricks on anything that was in front of him- maybe Dennis Busentiz grew up watching him too.

Keith Hufnagel’s formula of selling skate products, streetwear lines and sneakers was one of the main inspirations behind Homebase’s brand selection and look.

Killing them with cleanliness.

HUF operates out of 2 cities, San Francisco and in LA (pictured above) and it probably has one the illest shop teams ever- Busentiz, Ramondetta, Brock, Stranger and Olsen.  Since Keith has a personal interest in sneakers and fashion his shop has done collaboration pieces with brands like Vans, Nike SB, Stussy, DVS, Diamond Supply Co, Real Skateboards and most recently Spitfire & Thunder Trucks.

Their shop line HUF has slowly been distributed to selected skateshops outside of their 2 locations.  In our area, the line is only available at Homebase and Exit in Philly.

Summer and Fall 2009 pieces are now available at Homebase.
