I don’t think anyone can really question how HUGE of a website The Berrics is.
Remember the Pepsi Refresh Project and all those people from all over the world that heard about the Bethlehem Skateplaza from our Field Ops? We had supporters from Germany, Australia, from skaters like Steve Berra, Eric Koston, Kerry Getz and so many more. That was definitely a proud month for Homebase to see so many people rally behind out plaza.
Today we met some skaters from Switzerland traveling from New York to Louisville. Philip and Michel came all the way out to Bethlehem just to visit Homebase and see the skateplaza because they saw it on The Berrics. From the start we hoped the skateplaza would draw people traveling on the East Coast to Bethlehem and it’s awesome to see evidence of that even before the plaza’a Grand Opening (on July 16th- hint, hint).
The guys were on the road for a while so they didn’t have a chance to catch up on the Battle of the Berrics so we put them on to who won this past weekend’s matches. Did you see them yet? P-Rod vs. Sean Malto, Cory Kennedy vs. Jimmy Cao? I won’t ruin it- go watch them.
We inivted them to session the mini ramp but they had to make their way to Philly and catch up with some homies there we we hooked them up with some Homebase stickers and t-shirts to take back to Switzerland and they hooked us up with some authentic Swiss chocolate.
Damn . . . I don’t eat unhealthy food anymore but maybe I’ll make an exception.
