the left coast agenda: monday
Back in Los Angeles again thanks to the Agenda Tradeshow, The Berrics and Scion Partners.
This time some Josh Novak and Dave Hill are flying out to help me put in work checking out the 2011 Back to School lines from all the brands we carry and maybe we’ll find some new ones to put in Homebase. The Agenda Tradeshow will end with another shop get together at The Berrics where Wes and Mike will meet up with us to shred, eat some tacos and have a few drinks.
So let’s start this post the way they normally do- with the photo out the window of the plane with the wing precisely angled. This trip, a kid sitting next to me scolded me for turning on an electronic device. Sorry kid, you gotta rebel for the sake of blogging sometimes.
Landed at “sunny” LAX. No rain today for the first time in a long time according to the cab driver. Hey, it’s not 20 degrees so I’m not complaining.
Posted up the majority of the day behind this computer making sure I got all my work done before lurking around town. See, it’s not all fun and games- it’s hard work. Desmond kept me company and the Keurig made endless cups of coffee for me.
I took a break to watch a Travel Channel special on deep fried foods and guess what made it on the Top 10: Corn Dogs.
Apparently they were invented by Grandpa Fletcher and they’re actually “corny dogs” not just corn dogs.
Cornbread, hot dogs and a stick. Pure genius.
Even Oprah loves them.
This woman was especially excited to talk about her love for corny dogs. I can’t hate too much- I’m blogging about her talking about corny dogs. What’s that say about you who are reading about my blogging about her talking about corny dogs?
Checked out a new restaurant called Salt’s Cure. According to Eater.com you can “Look forward to eggs, sausages, bacon, biscuits, rolls and smoked fish with some amazing caviar.” Jonah Hill was standing next to waiting for a table while I took this picture. You know, the chubby kid from Superbad.
Didn’t have any caviar but we did have a plate with cured red snapper and pork shoulder.
Fish n’ Chips made with red snapper.
Rolled down to Fairfax where Supreme LA, Diamond Supply, HUF, Hall of Fame and The Hundreds are on to meet some friends at The Dime.
Walked in to see friends from Diamond Supple Co, the Agenda Tradeshow and The Hundreds.
Rolled out at last call to get some tacos before bed. Not a bad way to spend me day.
Going to the L-R-G offices tomorrow. . .
