We’re coming to the tail end of our inventory and remodeling project which means- HOMEBASE WILL RE-OPEN SOON! Come see the new store set-up tomorrow, Sunday January 20th when we will open our doors again for all your shopping and lurking needs.
We moved to 4th from our first location for more space. It’s incredible how we outgrew the space in only 4 years. The whole crew has been working hard to make sure we get the doors open for you on time. Cue up the part of the web-post where I thank everyone for all hat hard work. . .
Nothing Homebase does could happen without the support we get from our friends. Over the course of the week we’ve had homies coming out of the woodwork to help. Keith installed new lights, Eric Saw-Za’ed it up, Dmitri came in almost everyday to build out our basement, Karl did what Karl normal does in here, Pepe, Jon, Ryan and so many more friends came by just to kick it which never hurts.
But none of this could have been possible without the talented Andy Vasquez. Not only does he kill it on his Lost Soul Skateboard, he is the man behind all the new wooden displays at Homebase. A true master of his craft.
14 West 4th St is our home- no pun intended but we’re not going any where. We love this space. We love serving our community. This build out will let us give our customers a better experience and help us bring back some traditions we lost in the move.
Back in our old shop we had skate videos playing on a tiny TV. Glad to announce that tradition is coming back for a new generation of Homebase lurkers starting this Friday. On Friday January 25th, we’ll be hosting a Re-Grand Opening Party including the premiere of Sabotage 3 on a slightly bigger shop TV that will be playing skate videos all day, every day.
Relax, we’re almost open.
