Uncle Buck has been putting in some blog work that I’m just catching up on now. Some skating footage from the locals you may- or may not have seen
Enjoying the blizzard on a snow skate.
Good clip by JP Blair. Guess who has the 2nd to last trick. . .
Kyle? Yup, killing it.
Just in case you didn’t hear, Penn Skate opened one of the bowls in the back. The Lost Soul squad told me so.

Photos from Max Zahradnik’s blog. Visit it to see more . . . unless it’s torture since you can’t really go out and skate.
This is Max skating in the Alps or somewhere nearby- I think it’s by Allentown.

I may have posted this picture before but screw it. Pat Villa has one of the best styles in the 610 without trying to have style.

JB- where you at young’in? The future is looking bright with kids like JB killing it.

This is Kurtz.

Kurtz is always skating- through multiple knee injuries, between working jobs he hates and has never cared about being sponsored.

I think Max took this picture before I really knew Brendan. I had it up in the shop because it was just that dope of a picture. Now I know Brendan and he’s still dope- although he’d probably be the last person to ever admit that. Or use the word dope.

I’ll be completely honest, I did not land this. I did land it on another occasion but I thought Max took a great picture so let’s focus on the lighting, composition and pretty backdrop- not my weak frontside noseslide.

Rob Lewis, another local photographer who’s been helping Homebase and Lost Soul out took this picture of Bubba’s frontside ollie over the doorway. I figured it was an appropriate time to post it.

Wes is hurt right now which sucks because I think we’re all waiting for him to film another full part. Photo by Max Hull

More from Nik’s homies in Philly- skating the South Philly Bowl.

Nik’s friend Paul Overstrom has video blog and Nik’s in a few of them schralping. Peep some clips HERE.
Lazy days with the Whiteyblackman.

Proper decketiquette. (Go ahead, try and pronounce that)

How appropriate.

Luke. Frontside ollie from low to high

Bubba. Feeble stall in a tight space.

Steinert. Coming in from a 5-o fakie.
The video footage from the session below.
Into the Dark & Wood.
If that title sounds a little Lord of the Rings it’s because I felt like I was entering Middle Earth by the time we pulled up to the property the ramp was on.

Let me rewind a bit though . . .
Jay (Sigafoos) got an invite to a friend of a friend’s ramp a while back but since it was Summer most of our focus has been getting in our street skating. We’d hear about this ramp in the woods that was perfect- 5ft high, 24ft wide, both 6ft and 8ft extentions and it was skatelite.

Let me start by saying I’m bummed its Fall. Yeah, yeah- the weather is great but I’d trade that for extra daylight any day. So after walking through the brush as the sun was setting we found a wooden path that led up to this . . .

Did you ever see the Pan with Robin Williams, Roofeo and The Lost Boys? That’s what this felt like walking up to. The best clubhouse in the world.

Lights an a canopy of trees above you as you skate. Nature is cool.

Gary got to work quick. Feeble fakie with distance. Check his blog for video footage when he posts it up.

Matt, our host sliding a long back tail. The coping grinds perfectly- you can grind a long ways without even trying too hard. The unfinished part will make the ramp a total of 32ft wide and that extention is 8ft high.

Truer words have never been spoken.

Best All-Time skater in the LV- in my opinion, Jay Sigafoos.

Matt. Blunt fakie.

Barker Barrett, as Jay put it was one of the first people to go out West and bring pros back to the East Coast. He showed up at the end of the session and put down was effortlessly gnarly lines and took probably the harshest slam.

Jim goes from the 5ft to the 8ft. I think this is who invited Jay to the ramp so Jim, thanks very much.

Nothing like an animal skull to close out a post. Thanks to Matt, Jim and Gene for the session.
