never wasting days

Brett Barto is always up to something.
…and he documents most of his travels on his blog, Wasted Day. Sometimes he’s skating at the Homebase ramp, biking from Philly to Emmaus, going to hardcore shows in Chicago or hiking in the Adirondak Mountains for Ecco Boots ad campains with our friend Chris Pollard.

He had a quote from Gleason when Brett and I first met in Philly to skate the old Drexel bump in ’01. He asked Gleason who I was so Gleason told him: “He’s a little Asian kid that likes to film.”

Ever since then, Brett has always had some new spot for us to skate in Philly whenever we come down. Spots no one skates until months later when Brett’s already on to the next spot. He’s got tons of them- all fun, rarely blown out and he always brings his friends. Like this quarterpipe that Turtzo stays killing.

And if it’s not on the streets in some random ramp in someone’s backyard.

Atari, Tornado of Knives, Dentally Insane. I’m not sure how he finds time to do everything he has done over the years.

And has time to take amazing scenery pictures on his 1,000 mile bike rides or hikes through Pennsylvania.

And design some of Homebase’s best shop decks and shirt graphics. Here’s the new one that’s out now as a single color print. As soon as I get the time to sit down with the homies up at Axelrad- we’ll have this full color version in the shop. Thanks for being a part of Homebase Brett.
