For everyone waiting for Monday Night Saugy Sessions to start and for The Saugy S.K.A.T.E. Showdown here’s the deal.

Still don’t know what a Monday Night Saugy Session is?
It’s Homebase’s way for keep things fun for skaters in the 610. We just want to bring skaters from all over the Lehigh Valley together to have a good time skateboarding and throw in a little healthy competition at the same time. You might walk away with a free t-shirt, DVD, stickers or deck just for coming out and skating. Come out, bring your board and have a good time with everyone every other Monday from 5-8pm.

Every time I go to Keck I get asked to play S.K.A.T.E. and a lot of you have gotten really good- I’m seeing switch bigflips go down on the regular. Why not put those skills to the test ? Enter The Saugy S.K.A.T.E. Showdown 2 and see if you can throw those tricks down while the entire park is watching and cash money on the line.

A little taste of 2009 to refresh your memory . . .
How to Enter The Saugy S.K.A.T.E. Showdown 2:
- $5 Entry Fee. Payment of the entry fee will guarantee your spot in the bracket. We dropped the entry fee to make it more affordable but spots will fill up even quicker. You can pay by stopping by Homebase or coming to Spring On 4th on April 24th before the first Saugy Session and paying there.
- Check the Bracket. Once the tournament bracket is filled it will be posted with the dates of the matches. It is your responsibility to know which Monday your match is. You snooze, you loose.
- Come Ready to S.K.A.T.E. We typically start the Games of S.K.A.T.E. around 6pm so be sure to arrive on time and get warmed up. Typically 2 matches happen every Monday Night Session. Be sure to review the bracket once it’s posted.

This year, the WINNER WILL TAKE ALL THE CASH and get their name on the Insight Lobster Phone Winners Plaque. This year prizes will be only be given to those who make it to the semi-finals. Hey y’all- it’s a recession right?
Free Bi-Weekly Contests For Everyone.

In addition to the Saugy S.K.A.T.E. Showdown we are always have a random contest for everyone to enter. This contests are always free so no matter how good or bad you are at skating you can enter. Sometimes it’s a Best Trick Contest, Game of S.K.A.T.E. on the box or a Long Ollie Contest.
Skating is all about having fun and progressing at your own pace but a little friendly competition to get some shine isn’t bad.
WARM UP FOR THE SAUGY S.K.A.T.E. SHOWDOWN AT SPRING ON 4TH . . .
Don’t forget we are holding a one day S.K.A.T.E. Tournament at Spring On 4th (Sat. April 24th) to benefit the Bethlehem Skateplaza.
It’s pretty much the same deal at the Saugy tournament but the cost is $10 so we can donate the majority of the money to the skateplaza. The winner of the tournament will take home $100 CASH MONEY. L-R-G and Kayo Corp are donating prizes to those that enter so be sure and come out to support the skateplaza.
Spring On 4th Game of S.K.A.T.E. Tournament:
It’ll be just like the Berrics tournament except it’s all going down in ONE day. Here’s how you enter:
- 32 spots will be available to all skaters. Pre-register and hold your spot by making your $10 donation at Homebase this month before the 24th.
- Be at Spring On 4th by 12pm to find out who you face. Round 1 will start at 1pm. Better start working on those switch lazer flips.
- First place will take won $100. 2nd & 3rd will take home prizes donated from our sponsors.
