The weekend just ended but we’re already getting ready for the next one. . . let’s hope scattered Summer thunderstorms don’t ruin our plans to close out King of the Valley.
Friday June 28th
Homebase proudly debuts the “video they don’t want you to see,” VIDEO NASTY” by Heroin Skateboards for FREE at 830pm.
I don’t think you’ll see any ground breaking flip in revert out rail tricks or flawless manual combinations but I think you’re going to see. . . . well something. The trailer speaks for itself.
Saturday June 29th
Homebase, Lost Soul Skateboards and Converse HOPE to close out King of the Valley at the Northampton DIY Skatepark with a Big ol’ Summer BBQ and Jam. Yes, we will even have some contests for the BMXer’s. The more the merrier because in the end, we’re all trying to pull together to build up the N-Town Skatepark.
But due to the forecast, we might get rained out so here’s the plan. We will make the final call on Friday June 28th if we will postpone the BBQ or not. If the chances of rain are 30% or lower, we’re going to do it. If they’re higher than 30%, we’re going to wait til Saturday July 6th.
Get down to Philly by 9m for the Skate Jawn 3rd Anniversary and the video premiere of Kevin Winter’s “BRUNS.” Want to know why Nike Stain and Kyle Dalrympal had such short parts in LEMMEGTDATFOOTY? It’s because all that footage is in here. See you at 5th & Cecil. When you come, be SOUL- don’t be BRUNS.
Tuesday July 2nd
Somewhat unrelated to KOTV but still skateboarding and awesome, Andrew Cannon and the World Industries team are hitting up the skateplaza and coming back to Homebase to premiere a video, buy us some pizzas and pretty much party as part of their Long Hard Summer Tour.
Cannon and some of the crew were here a few months ago on a whim but were definitely hyped to make it back for a proper demo. They even hit up the N-Town Park in the video too.
Thursday July 4th
Friday July 5th
KOTV Video(s) Premiere + Cattywoods Benefit Show at The Burners. See all the King of the Valley team edits, find out who will be crowned King of the Valley and take home $500 cash money courtesy of Converse. Plus, there will be 5 bands playing including Ray Gurz’s second band, “Bad American.”
It’s an all ages show with a bar downstairs for anyone 21+. There will be a $5 donation to support the Cattywoods trails to get in. Start saving your pennies.
Saturday July 6th
Plenty more planned for the month of July including the Bethlehem Skateplaza’s 3rd Anniversary, a HUGE Christmas in July Sale at Homebase and the official East Coast launch party of New Balance Numeric. . .
Like World Industries said, it’s going to be a long hard Summer.
