HB 10YR Weekend: Friday Benefit Night details.
Categories: Bethlehem Skateplaza, Events, Livelocal*, Shop News, Skateboarding, We Out Here
We’re starting our 10th Anniversary Weekend at Starters Riverport with a night for the whole community to benefit the Bethlehem Skateplaza. We HOPE you to bring your Mom, Dad, grandparents, family, friends, co-workers and classmates out because the more people that come out- the more food we can sell for the benefit dinner, the more bids we can get on the Silent Auction to raise more money for the skateplaza and there will be Homebase Birthday Cupcakes!
Benefit night in the Starters Riverport (17 W. 2nd St. Bethlehem) Banquet Hall.
Event runs from 6-10pm. Silent Auction bidding starts as early as 5pm.
All ages. No entry fee or plate charge. Please j0in us & donate what you can.
Homebase will be closing at 8pm.
Friday night closes out the month long fundraiser with Starters to raise fund for the skateplaza by donating up to 10% of all the food sales purchased by supporters. Come early to be seated in the banquet hall with all of the Homebase supporters, the Silent Auction area and all the other stuff we have planned for the night.
Take a walk around the Bethlehem Skateplaza Silent Auction tables- there’s something for Mom, Dad, your sister and brother even if they don’t skateboard. If you do skateboard, you will still be happily surprised with the list of auction items too.
How to Bid: Place a bid by filling out the auction sheet next to the item you want to win- see everything going up for auction HERE. Make sure you keep checking back to make sure no one outbids you- pretty simple right? We’ll make announcements throughout the night to keep you posted too.
Remember, 100% of what is raised will be donated to the Bethlehem Skateplaza so don’t be afraid to bid high!
Vans x Homebase Collaboration Release & Thank You Gift Bags:
With the blessing from the heavy hitters at Vans: Steve Van Doren, Russ Pope and Jim Watson we proudly debut Homebase’s first collaboration with Vans. Local skater/artist, Brett Barto designed this collaboration logo by flipping the original Vans “Off the Wall” logo on the front with a back print of the Vans waffle grip sole. The wording around the sole says “This limited edition collaboration t-shirt between Vans and Homebase is a thank you for your continued support of the Bethlehem Skateplaza. Skate in it with pride.”
We will be selling them for a minimum donation of $25 starting on Friday night. Vans graciously made us 200 t-shirts to sell so we can donate 100% of the profits to the skateplaza (do the math, that’s a $5,000 donation!).
Not to mention they also donated 30 Thank You Gift Bags alongside HUF and The Hundreds. Each bag contains various surprises from the brand as a thank you for coming to the event for a minimum donation of $20. There’s over $50+ worth of goods in each bag between items like t-shirts, hats, socks, belts, keycahins, magazines, skate tools and so on.
PLUS, some very special prizes . . . .
One out of the 30 Hundreds Gift Bags will also include a set of their Phoenix Sunglasses. Made Italy, fully polarized to battle the sun these have a retail value of $79.
One out of the 30 HUF Gift Bags will include a Homebase Gift Certificate good for a Real Skateboard Deck.
One out of the 30 Vans Gift Bags will include a RED BEANIE- find it and you will get one of the very coveted Vans Off The Wall rugs.
Mishka Skates stepped and is hooking 30 bags up filled with Bear Mops & Keep Watch goodies. One bag can win a Mishka Deck too.
And if all that wasn’t enough, we’re also getting a over 100+ cupcakes from Sugar Babe Cupcakes to make our Homebase birthday cake out of, Dan’s Camera City is bringing out their PhotoBooth so you can have something to remember the night by and we’re going to be showing all the Homebase videos leading up to a promo for the new Homebase video coming out later in the year . . . . hopefully.
I’m sitting here right now on 2 computers trying to get all these blog posts done, while trying to relearn to use Adobe Premiere CS5 soooooo . . . I guess we’ll see how this goes.
All of that leads into the Audio Dynamikz “Glow” Party at Starters that night too & THAT IS JUST DAY ONE OF THE HOMEBASE 10TH ANNIVERSARY WEEKEND . . .
