grindline is pouring cement at the bethlehem skateplaza this week.

It was an impressive move by the City of Bethlehem and F.A. Rohrbach to bring in the Grindline crew to do what they do best at the Bethlehem Skateplaza.

Pour, shoot and shape cement.

Grindline has built skateparks and plazas in over half the states in the USA and in even more over seas.  They’re know for their smooth (not slippery) cement finishes on some of the most innovative cement parks like Orcas Island in Seattle, the Wheeling Skatepark in West Virginia and a little closer to home Erie, PA skatepark which was completed last year.

The crew working in Bethlehem for the next 2 weeks comes from all over the country- Texas, Oregon, Philadelphia and even as close as Lansdale, PA.  Dave Palmer heads up the crew had as laid miles of cement with Grindline.  TZ, is from Lansdale was at the City Council budget meeting where we fought for our funding and he was present at the groundbreaking supporting us all the way.  Ryan McWhirter is AM for Anti-Hero and builds skateparks with Grindline too.

It’s truly a company to builds skateparks for the love of skateboarding and I’m honored they’re working on the Bethlehem Skateplaza.

Even though the plaza is not what they would traditionally build, they’ve all made positive comments on the quality of the work by F.A. Rohrbach to this point and they like the way the street obstacles are laid out.  Getting the approval of a crew of skaters that have built  hundreds of parks says a lot about the work we’ve put in on this project and that it has all been worth the time and effort.

If you have a chance to get down to the work site, say “what’s up” and THANK YOU to both crews working- F.A. Rohrbach and Grindline are both doing an incredible job and huge service for the sake of our skateboarding scene.

Recognize, this is 610 skate history in the making- literally.
