the secret fatty goes to agenda again. part 2

the secret fatty goes to agenda again. part 2

*I’ve actually written and lost this post 2 times.  It’s super late, Agenda NY is already done, you’ve already seen all the coverage from the HUF x Haroshi party on other blogs so let me give you the shortened version of the trip.  AKA- Mostly, the stuff I ate.
Agenda Long Beach was done.  Headed [...]

the secret fatty goes to agenda again. part 1

the secret fatty goes to agenda again. part 1

A week has past since I got back from the Agenda Tradeshow in Long Beach.  I admit I miss the 75+ degree and sunny weather a little compared to the 12 degree nights we’ve been having out here but what I really miss about being out West is the food.  No surprise here.
Yes, I [...]

hello from colonge. . . or koln.

hello from colonge. . . or koln.

Cologne was all about German beer from the moment we arrived thanks to Thilo and his friend Thilo.  They were the German drinking team and Andy Colbert and I were the US team.  I didn’t pass out standing up in a dance club so I’m not afraid to say we won this match.
What else goes [...]

the berrics agenda: day five

the berrics agenda: day five

Walked out of Ryan’s apartment into the sun with a full day just to skate- official Agenda business is all wrapped up for the trip.  Thanks for letting us crash Ryan.
Good thing John is little because we shoved him in the back of the truck.
Breakfast at Urth Cafe. Maybe my only healthy meal on this [...]

summer signals: deep fried food fest 2011

summer signals: deep fried food fest 2011

If you live in the Lehigh Valley- especially Bethlehem, then Musikfest is your unofficial end of Summer before today, the country’s unofficial end Summer.  10 Days of live music, local music, public drinking, teens getting their first underage offense, deep fried food vendors, good friends and good times.
Even though I’m a transplant into this town, [...]

a quick hello from masstricht.

a quick hello from masstricht.

Just because I’m out here in Europe doesn’t mean I can’t update the website.
After almost 24 hours in transit thanks to Hurricane Irene rerouting me I made it to Masstricht in the Netherlands and met up with Andy Colbert.
Been spending a lot of time hanging out where Andy’s working- The Bonnefanten Museum where he and [...]

the berrics agenda: day four

the berrics agenda: day four

Day Two of Agenda was a bit of a blur. . . everyone moves a little slower after that first night of partying. After all my appointments I walked out to the beach.

The US Open of surfing and Converse Coastal Carnage was all happening that week.
Boardwalk Foxx.
Fakie tre flip in human traffic.
Converse sets up [...]

the berrics agenda: day three

the berrics agenda: day three

Seeing as I was phone less, I sat around and waited for John and Foxx to get into town before heading out to the tradeshow- thus missing 2 appointments.  From this point on, they became my adopted kids and I told everyone I had “my kids” with me.
Shuttle to Agenda in 30 minutes?
Red curb session [...]

the berrics agenda: day two

the berrics agenda: day two

Left my brothers apartment to spend the day at the L-R-G offices like I always do when I visit the west coast and Agenda has become one of the reason I get to see my older brother on a somewhat regular basis . . . except this year.
My brother and his girlfriend just so happened [...]

the berrics agenda trip: day one

the berrics agenda trip: day one

I just realized I never finished my post last year when I went to California.  Oops- I’ll try to do better this year. It seems like I’ve been finding myself out in California like clockwork and that’s all thanks to the Agenda Tradeshow.
A few weeks ago I spent 2 days in NYC and this past [...]

agenda n.y. through instagram

So I finally got an iPhone after being a die-hard Blackberry user for many years.  “I can’t type on a touch screen!”  “Those phones are toys, I need my phone for business” were my go-to excuses but in the end I tried it and so far. . . so good.
Things have been especially good because [...]

cutting it up with andy v. (nyuck, nyuck)

Andy Vasquez is a talented individual- on and off his board but he’d never tell you that. I’ve known him since his early BM2K days and have been proudly watching him mature from the sidelines into an amazingly creative friend.  His latest venture is his wood working company and website: www.AndyVasquezFurniture.com.  He had one [...]

Memorial Day was the unofficial start of the Summer so I hope you’ve been taking advantage of it.  It’s strange how common daily activities suddenly feel undeniably Summer-like once the air is warm and the sun is in your eyes.  Can you tell this is getting artsy?
Seeing as I just got a new digi [...]

memories. . . la, la, la. . . meeeeeemories.

memories. . . la, la, la. . . meeeeeemories.

Following up last month’s 9 Year Anniversary events we want all our Homebase homies to share their memories with us for the upcoming July First Friday.
Instead of displaying a local artists work on our back wall we’ll be displaying 9 years worth of Homebase memorabilia from old video premiere posters, candid photos from skate sessions, [...]

“working” in nyc with the secret fatty: day 2

“working” in nyc with the secret fatty: day 2

Took a few days out of the shop to do some work (aka eat) at a few showrooms in NYC (aka restaurants) to check out the Winter 2011 lines of Boundless NY, Mishka, 10 Deep, Acapulco Gold, L-R-G, Diamond Supply Co and The Hundreds.

Day 2 was definitely a lot sunnier than the first.

Grabbed a coffee [...]

I am probably addicted to coffee now and there’s nothing better than [...]

time travel impossible? go to bangor.

time travel impossible? go to bangor.

Bangor?  I hardly know her. Even the jokes about Bangor are old.

When you visit some rural towns it sometimes feels like you go back in time.  Not that it’s a good or bad thing.  If the 70’s were awesome and you want to stay in that era.  More power to you.

You want to make [...]

the all dog everything post.

the all dog everything post.

Which is better? Hot dogs or Snoop Dogg?

I don’t really know but I do know both were at Mike’s and my birthday BBQ this past weekend.  We were not drinking Colt 45 Blast though.

Maybe you know this, maybe you don’t . . . I like hot dogs.

I like condiment options.

I like toppings.

I only like vegetables [...]

rainy friday randoms

rainy friday randoms

Not much to do today since it started raining for the second Friday in a row.  At least we got a session in at the plaza before the weather closed out.  You should stop by Homebase though.

Rainy days are good for eating though.  Check, did that at Goosey Gander.

One more time, Emery’s back home. . [...]

we made friends with blueprint megapost

At the start of the month our homies from Blueprint Skateboards and Ohio’s Resident Skateboards came to the 610 for a visit.  You may recall the post I made about the first day they got into town then I neglected to follow up that post . . . until now.

A few websites have already posted [...]

want some roast beef . . . .gum?

My little sister travels a lot for her job.  She does something at hospitals but don’t ask me what because I always forget.  She, like many other people in my life, know that I love candy and all things sweet.  They always scold me for eating sweets too much yet they keep buying them for [...]
