Since Liberty High School courtyard sessions, since trips up to West End Skatepark, since homemade Hometeam610 t-shirts, since filming for City Without Spots, since weekend trips to Boston posting up on Erich Hornungs stoop watching Steve to Lu-Kang kicks, since Styles West slanging Timberland Boots and Coogies, since trips to Las Vegas, Arizona and Texas, since Kill the Filmer, since my 21st birthday . . .
Til the opening day at Homebase, til the paGREY premier at the Sterlng Hotel, til having to witness you go through your worst ankle injury, til the first Backed in Black Artshow, til No Place Like Home premiere and shop’s 5th anniversary at Banana Joe’s, til one of the best days in Homebase’s history when you came on board as the manager, til fighting for the skateplaza together, til the groundbreaking, til No Place Like Home and until the grand opening of the Bethlehem Skateplaza . . .
Until Phase 2, 3 & 4 or whatever it takes, until Homebase’s next expansion, until you marry your soul mate, until your family becomes a bigger part of the Homebase Family, until we set-up your kid’s first skateboard . . .
You have been, you are and you always will be one of my closest friends, my mentor, my biggest supporter and brother me and to all of the Hometeam/Homebase/610 Skateboard Family. Here’s to over 10 years of friendships on and off our boards and here’s many, many more.
